PETALING JAYA: A lone robber with a pistol took less than two minutes to cart away RM50,000 worth of gems from a goldsmith shop at a shopping complex here.
In the 12.45pm incident yesterday, the suspect walked into the shop and whipped out a pistol before ordering the workers to empty two trays of jewellery into a plastic bag, said Petaling Jaya police chief Asst Comm Arjunaidi Mohamed.
He said the suspect, in his 20s, escaped into the crowd.
