A CAR workshop in Jalan Inai, Bukit Beruntung, Rawang, is causing inconvenience to other motorists. Cars involved in accidents are parked at the lots reserved for other motorists.
Other motorists are prevented from parking their cars at the allocated space if they need to eat at a nearby restaurant.
A recent check by StarMetro revealed that the vehicles damaged in accidents are parked outside the workshop and at the parking area.
According to Bukit Beruntung Residents Charity Association (BBRCA) president Augustine Maria Dasan, 61, the residents considered the sight of the badly damaged vehicles an eyesore and were also upset with the parking lots being taken up.
“The residents are apprehensive about making any complaints as they’re afraid the workshop owner might react aggressively.
An eyesore: A badly damaged vehicle parked in the parking lot in Jalan Inai. “The workshop has been in operation for the last two years and there is a police station in Bukit Beruntung about 50 metres away.
“In fact, we have complained numerous times to the Hulu Selangor District Council and even had 10 to 15 meetings with its president Tukiman Nail,’’ he said.
Augustine added that despite being aware of the problem, the council had not done anything to address the issue.
