Volvo will be unveiling its reworked C30 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and the car, set to go into production in Nov, features a new front and rear design, the introduction of a new Sports chassis, new accessory styling kit and an extensive range of options, bold colours and accessories.
At the front, the car gets a bolder and more expressive look, courtesy of body panel changes which include those of the wings and bonnet; this aligns the design language to the S60 Concept and recently announced new C70.
In the grille - which features a new honeycomb pattern - sits the new, larger iron mark as seen in the rest of the Volvo range. The air intake has also been enlarged and resembles the intake in the XC60.
Updates to the rear includes a new colour-coded rear valance that is available in body colour or, to add a dramatic twist, in a contrasting colour.
Other new exterior features include the introduction of a vibrant Orange Flame Metallic colour, visible exhaust tailpipes in the T5 and D5 models, two new wheel options, including a striking white wheel alternative and the choice of five different colours on the lower trim from the new C30 Contrast Colour Collection, such as Blackcurrant, Java and Shadow Blue.
Elsewhere, a new accessory styling kit has been introduced to give the C30 an even sportier look. The kit includes foglamp décor, a front skidplate, side scuff plates and a rear skidplate with an aluminium look. For D5 and T5 variants, two 90mm tail pipes in polished stainless steel are added to highlight the powerful engine.
Meanwhile, the interior gets a whole new set of options, led by an all-new colour combination called Espresso/Blond, consisting of a dark brown upper section and a blond grey/beige shade on the lower door sides. This gives customers the opportunity to specify new, bright accent colours which include orange, green and blue in the fabrics, as well as a new Cranberry colour for leather upholstery.
Handling-wise, there's a new option of a Sports chassis, which promises to give the C30 a significantly sharper ride. Changes include a lowering of the vehicle by 10mm, a more precise steering coutrtesy of stiffer bushings and a lowered steering ratio that is 10% faster in response to steering wheel input. Additionally, you get stiffer anti-roll bars and dampers, and the spring stiffness has also been increased by 30%.

New face. Everyone does it.

Cabin strikes a familiar pose.

Very little change to the rear, really.
