Recalling their Ramadan favourites

What say you on the issue below?

Ramadan nears its end and it has been an interesting month as we got to know what some local personalities enjoy eating at the break of fast. As we welcome Syawal, these were among the personalities that we featured during Ramadan.

Kuala Lumpur mayor Datuk Ahmad Fuad Ismail — Mee Rebus, Assam Pedas Sotong, Ayam Kicap, Sambal Udang, Ikan Masak Tempoyak, Beef Masala and one vegetable dish — long beans fried in sambal sauce that he cooks.

Shah Alam mayor Mazalan Md Noor — Ayam golek (succulent grilled chicken)

Petaling Jaya mayor Datuk Mohamad Roslan Sakiman — Dates, vadai and grilled items.

Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) president Datuk Mohammad Yacob — Blanched kangkung (water convovulus) and taugeh (bean sprouts) with sambal.

Dayang Nurfaizah: Her favourite is Ayam Masak Kicap.

988 deejay Jamaluddin Ibrahim — Roast Lamb stuffed with Briyani rice.

Actor/ comedian Dee — Black Pepper Crab, Balitung masak lemak and fish head curry.

Chef Wan (Redzuawan Ismail) —- Lamb Couscous with Seven Vegetables and Chicken Tajine, both Moroccan-inspired dishes.

Former national hockey player Derek Fidelis @Muhammad Fareiz — Anything grilled such Ayam Percik or fish but most of the time he would just go for simple dishes cooked by his wife.

Singer Dayang Nurfaizah — Ayam Masak Kicap with a dash of sambal belacan.

NEWS anchor Rizal Zulkapli — home-cooked Sambal Ikan Tenggiri.

ACTOR-cum-TV presenter Zizan Nin — Malay kuih, buah melaka and jellies.

Astro Awani news anchors Ellia Raini and Kamarul Bahrin Haron — Ketam Masak Rendang, Chicken Rice, Spaghetti and Curry Noodles.

Suria FM deejay Tuah Zoqarnain — Loves a glass of plain milo and a bowl of mushroom tomyam.

Estee Lauder Model Search 2007 winner Wan Noraishah Samsudin — Enjoys deep fried squid, butter prawns and asparagus with garlic at Muhibbah Seafood restaurant in Taman Tun Dr Ismail Kuala Lumpur.
