KOTA KINABALU: A seven-month pregnant woman was among seven people who cheated death when the van they were in overturned after a collision with a lorry early yesterday.
The van was heading towards the city from Kinarut town when it was hit by a sand-laden lorry following behind.
Penampang police traffic chief Chief Insp Edward Kondokor said the van stopped by the road side to pick up a passenger.
The collision happened just as the woman boarded the vehicle with her husband. She was flung out of the vehicle and sustained head injuries.
