KUALA LUMPUR: Fatalities from the Influenza A(H1N1) virus remains at 77 with no new deaths reported between last Friday and yesterday.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Mohd Ismail Merican said 192 new patients with influenze-like illness were admitted to hospital.
He said in a statement yesterday that 150 patients had been confirmed infected with the H1NI virus and 25 were in the intensive care unit.
“Of the 25 patients, 23 were in the high-risk groups,” he added.
