FOR a good mix of Malay, Chinese and Indian dishes to break fast with, the Wild Rice Restaurant at the Boulevard Hotel Mid Valley offers a decent option.
Themed Citarasa Satu Malaysia, the spread includes the traditional dishes of the three major races, as well as Western and Middle Eastern fare.
“If there is one thing that unites people, it is food and that’s why we have decided to go with the Muhibbah theme,’’ said Boulevard Hotel’s Senior Sous Chef Shahran Hadzim. “People love food and the more choices, the better,” Shahran added.

“Our speciality is the roast lamb and what’s special about it is that we offer different styles each night,’’ he said, adding that so far the Egyptian, Mediterranean and Indian style were the popular ones.
Shahran said herbs and spices were used to marinate the lamb and the entire process took hours to give the meat the robust flavour.
Other perks include the kurma (dates) booth, which provides six varieties of dates. The Egyptian, Tunisian and Mariani variants were the most popular, while even the beverage section offers a choice of Bandung, Soya, sugar cane and fruit punch to choose from.

The outlet’s Buka Puasa offering is priced at RM75 nett per adult and RM38 nett per child below 12. Sahur sets are also available at RM38 nett per set.
