A COUPLE, who are lecturers in the same private college, were caught for khalwat (close proximity) during a raid by religious department officers in Prai, Harian Metro reported.
The same couple were still under investigation after they were caught for indecent behaviour several months ago.
According to Penang Religious Affairs Department operations unit head Khairul Azman Azizan, the officers found the lecturers in the hotel room at 2.15am.
“The 34-year-old man was fully dressed but his belt was removed. The woman was sitting at a dressing table in the room.
“The man claimed that she was his wife, but both were detained when they failed to produce their marriage certificate.
“We found out later that the woman had just been divorced from her husband,” he told the newspaper.
