A StarMetro reader sent in these shots of rodents scurrying near a mamak stall in Jalan Choo Cheng Khay behind Jln Maharajalela in Kuala Lumpur.
According to her email, part of the parking area near Block B was recently converted into a washing area and this was when the problems started.
On a mission: Two rats scavenging for food near the makeshift washing area. Some of the rodents in search of a warm home got into her engine and bit some wires. The incident was discovered when the car was recently sent for servicing. Thankfully, she added, the damage was minimal.
Besides the large rats, flat dwellers have to bear with the cockroach infestation as well.
She is hoping the authorities will initiate a rat-catching campaign to clean-up the area.
