Clean up needed in the backlanes of Klang

What say you on the issue below?

THE odour is enough to make anyone lose their appetite - that nauseating and unpleasant smell that comes from rotting produce and leftover food.

Such odours can often be traced to garbage dumps and rubbish bins, or even near places where there are food sources, like eating outlets.

Turn off: Restaurant workers were actively seen preparing food and cleaning utensils at one of the back lanes in Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Klang.

But would you still patronise your favourite restaurant if the food preparation and disposal methods are of questionable hygienic practices?

Many people were seen over the Merdeka weekend enjoying a leisurely meal in Klang, The town that is known for its bak kut teh (pork ribs soup), seafood and other foods.

However, what goes on behind the scenes at many of the food outlets in Klang will surely make one question their hygiene level, and think twice about frequenting such places.

The photos that the StarMetro team captured were taken at various places around the northern Klang town centre, Taman Bayu Perdana and Bandar Bukit Tinggi.
