SHAH ALAM: Robbers shot two men and took off with RM350,000 in a daring roadside robbery near the Tesco hypermarket at Persiaran Kayangan near here.

The 1.15pm incident occurred when four men working for a moneychanger were transporting money in different currencies to several branches in the area.

Selangor Deputy CID chief Asst Comm Khaw Kok Chin said four men on two motorcycles pulled up on both sides of the black Mitsubishi Triton driven by the victims and opened fire.

“Two shots were fired, one on each side, injuring the driver on his right shoulder and the front passenger’s left thigh,” he said, adding that the other two men were unharmed.

The robbers who wore full-faced helmets then fled with a bag containing the cash, ACP Khaw said.

He confirmed that they used .38 revolvers in the robbery.

ACP Khaw said the victims were sent to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital and were reported to be in stable condition.
