Firm donates RM12,000 to home

What say you on the issue below?

SCOPE International Malaysia, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Standard Chartered Plc., United Kingdom, donated RM12,000 to Rumah Kasih Sayang in Rawang recently.

Founded in 2005 by Habidah Abdullah, the home shelters more than 52 orphans, single mothers, poor and disabled children as well as the elderly.

Our contribution: Arif (in black T-shirt) presenting the gifts to rumah Kasih Sayang adviser Zailan Hamid.

The money, comprising donations from the staff of Scope International, was used to buy a refrigerator, two washing machines, eight wall fans, two ceiling fans, two stoves, double-decker beds, 20 mattresses, two large rice cookers and groceries.

“I would like to express my gratitude to the generous donation from Scope International. It will be a great Aidilfitri celebration for the home this year,” said Habidah.

Scope International Malaysia chief executive officer Arif Siddiqui said, “We are delighted to share God’s blessings with those in need during the month of Ramadan. We hope that our contribution will help make a difference for those sheltered by Rumah Kasih Sayang.”
