Celebrate Hari Raya at Genting

Genting Highlands - the City of Entertainment is set to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri with its patrons with a variety of attractions up at the peak.

Visitors can witness a magnificent fireworks display at the Maxims Genting Hotel open-air car park at 10pm tomorrow. There will also be a traditional Malay dance performance at First World Plaza’s Times Square at 5pm from tomorrow until Sept 22.

While you are at the resort, visit the Genting Outdoor Theme Park and participate in the various Hari Raya contests and workshops today and tomorrow.

Genting’s very own mascots Tabby and Friends will be greeting visitors at the outdoor theme park.

Patrons can look forward to taking part in the Malay traditional arts and crafts workshops which includes batik-painting, ketupat-weaving, kite-making, grasshoppers craft-making.

If you are good at ketupat- weaving, be sure to take part in the Ketupat Weaving Competition and stand a chance to win attractive prizes.

Other exciting games such as a kite-making contest, batik painting contest, ketupat-making contest, Hari Raya colouring contest and Congkak game will be held at the Merdeka Stage located at the Outdoor Theme Park throughout the day.

The fun games and workshops promise a thoroughly enjoyable time for the family this Hari Raya.

Besides the fun-filled programme, visitors can look forward to an array of Hari Raya Aidilfitri Food Promotions at the resort.

Enjoy a truly traditional and exquisite selection of Malay favourites such as ketupat, lemang, rendang Tok, varieties of kuih raya with your friends and family at Resort Café / Restoran Kampong (Resort Hotel) on Sept 20 and 21, or at First World Café (First World Hotel) from Sept 20 to 23. Buffet is priced from RM38++ and it is open for lunch and dinner.
