The 127 children from Asrama Damai, 15 children from Pusat Jagaan Anak Yatim An-Najjah and 15 children from Budimas Orion were treated to a buffet dinner at Charlie’s Reserve restaurant.

The children aged between six and 17 years were presented with duit raya and gifts by Budimas trustee Datin Seri Maneesah Tunku Iskandar.

Also present were Budimas chairman Tunku Datuk Ya’acob Tunku Tan Sri Abdullah and its deputy chairman Millie Kwek.

At the event, Maneesah also handed cheques worth RM44,000 and RM6,000 to Asrama Damai and An-Najjah respectively.

Asrama Damai principal Suhaimi Dzajuli received the cheque on behalf of the home while An-Najjah was represented by Narimah Sulaiman.

An individual, Puan Munira Mohamad also donated cash to the children.

The foundation initiates and supports projects that provide for the welfare of orphaned & underprivileged children in Malaysia. It has a 7-member Board of Trustees that also acts as a Grant Committee who will determine the payment, disbursements and distribution of money from the Trust Fund to various projects, persons or causes that qualify for assistance from the Foundation.
