IN THE spirit of Ramadan, more than 30 Etiqa staff members cooked and prepared bubur lambuk at the office to provide 1,600 colleagues with a modest meal for breaking fast.
The “Jom Masak Bubur Lambuk” programme held at the Etiqa headquarters at Dataran Maybank, Bangsar, was the company’s way of showing their appreciation to the staff for their hard work during the fasting month.
Company director Datuk Aminuddin Desa said the meal was their way of providing a simple yet fulfilling meal for their staff members.
“It also helps to create a cheerful and fun working environment, which is why we have been having this event since 2007.
One for all: Etiqa staff distributing the bubur lambuk that they cooked together. “We believe in the spirit of community. The tradition of cooking bubur lambuk during Ramadan is made more meaningful as it also celebrates the 1Malaysia concept”.
A chef was invited to do the cooking while the staff helped with the cutting up of vegetables and meat.
