SPAIN’S Kilian Jornet, considered the world’s best trail- runner, will be in Malaysia on Monday.
The 24-year-old Jornet, the skyrunning 2010 World champion, will conduct a workshop and join the participants in a mock trail run at the Taman Rimba Kiara in Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI).
It will be a lifetime opportunity for Malaysians actively involved in trail running.
Jornet, as the brand ambassador of Salomon, will share his running experience as well as provide valuable tips.
Jornet’s programme in Malaysia is initiated by World of Sports to encourage more Malaysians to take a keen interest in outdoor activities including trail running.
Jornet has made a name for himself in the sport of trail-running. He has conquered many of the world’s most challenging trails such as Mt. Olympus in Greece, Mount Kinabalu in Sabah and Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa.
He has also won prestigious races such as the SkyRunner World Series and Western States 100.
There are two ways for trail-running enthusiasts to take part. The first is to post a picture of yourself clad in Salomon gear and write about your experience with Salomon. The top five posts with the most number of “likes” win. The second way is to buy Salomon products. The top five spenders will get the chance to be part of the mock race.
