Students take part in charity car wash to raise funds for special children

What say you on the issue below?

STUDENTS from South Korea, Nigeria, the Middle East and Indonesia joined their Malaysian counterparts in commemorating Malaysia’s 52nd National Day celebration with a meaningful deed.

The 44 students, who are undertaking the Canadian International Matriculation Programme (CIMP) at the Sunway University College in Petaling Jaya, got together with the Sunway Lagoon Club to hold a Merdeka Charity Car Wash, with the proceeds going to the special children at SMK Bandar Sunway.

Getting their hands dirty: Students getting down to the task of washing a car during the Merdeka Charity Car Wash.

Three special children – Bernard Liew, Choo Siak Tung and Karl Lau – joined in the work of washing the cars, but did not mind in the least as they had great fun getting drenched in the process.

During the event, which was held at the Sunway Lagoon Club parking area from 10am to 5.30pm on the eve of National Day, the volunteers managed to get 39 cars spick-and-span and raised RM880 for the cause.
