KLANG: Police have nabbed two Indonesians aged 34 and 28 who are believed to be behind a spate of burglaries here recently.
The first suspect was detained at a petrol station at Telok Pulai last Wednesday after a tip off and police found various items in a sling bag the man was carrying, including a starter gun used in sporting events, five bullets, three screw drivers, one hammer, a spanner, a ski mask, two bunches of keys, three shoe laces, a small plastic bottle of oil, eight cables and a mirror.
The second suspect was nabbed at the house where the two lived in Sementa near Kapar. Klang OCPD Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Mat Yusop said the suspects had confessed to two robberies in Sun-gai Udang and Taman Gembira res-pectively.
They were also tested positive for a cocktail of drugs.
The starter gun belonged to a Klang resident who had reported it missing on March 25.
The victim was also robbed of RM10,400 cash, a driving licence, an identity card and the gun’s licence.
On another matter, ACP Mohamad said an MIC member vying for a central working committee position in the MIC election had lodged a report yesterday alleging that he had been threatened over the phone.
P. Senthamil Seger, who was the deputy chairman of the Kota Raja MIC division, alleged that he had received the call at midnight on Tuesday by someone who warned him not to contest in the party polls, said ACP Mohamad.
