SIGNATURE dishes such as bubur chacha, ketam masak madu, ayam masak merah, salai daging, ayam dendeng ala kampung are among the wide spread of food offered for the Ramadan buka puasa at the Bandar Botanic Resort Club coffee house in Klang.
While enjoying the serenity of the resort’s environment, Muslim friends will be able to taste the variety of food.
According to chef Anthony Rayappan. all the specialities for the buka puasa menu was a combination of kampung-style dishes and some of his own recipes.
Crunchy delights: Different types of local crackers available at the buffet spread. He said it was meant to provide their customers with something different from dishes that were normally available at most places.
“I’m sure our customers will enjoy the food here,’’ he added.
For breaking of fast, Anthony said the bubur chacha or pengat pisang, and dates with a variety of Malay cakes and pudding would be suitable.
For seafood lovers: Crab prepared with honey is one of the popular dishes. He said there were plenty of items as part of the main course which included several meat, seafood and vegetable dishes.
“We have dishes like ayam kalio, ayam kerabu, ayam rendang and garlic beef, soya sauce beef and black rendang beef.
“You can also try out the sweet sour fish, fish curry, deep fried snapper with orange sauce, dried chilli prawns and butter prawns, soya sauce squid and sambal squid, which are among the seafood dishes,’’ he said.
Kuih kochi: One of the local Malay kueh to try. He added that live action stalls had also been set up to serve hot food like mamak mee, ikan bakar, roti canai, murtabak, roti jala, satay and teh tarik.
Besides coffee and tea, Anthony said, items like ice-kacang, cendol, cincau and several other types of drinks were also available.
“The buka puasa menu is also available for small and large groups,” he said
The buffet meal is priced at RM45 for club members and RM50 for visitors, RM30 for children and RM40 for senior citizens.
