PETALING JAYA: Storage systems provider Hitachi Data Systems Corp has announced the availability of its new Network Attached Storage (NAS) products.
The NAS devices connect to a company’s network via a standard Ethernet cable and Hitachi Data Systems claims these will give its customers up to a 30% savings in storage costs over their competitors.
It said the NAS 3080 and 3090 models offer Intelligent File Tiering capability, which enables users to move data automatically across storage networks and to search content.
Johnson Khoo, managing director of Hitachi Data Systems Malaysia, said these products make up a fully integrated, unified midrange storage solution to help companies get a handle on their data and better use it to manage their organisation.
“Hitachi Data Systems combines storage management software, content archiving, and data discovery solutions into one integrated platform to minimise complexity and reduce storage costs,” he said.
The solution is claimed to be ideal for companies that operate mixed storage environments.
