KUALA LUMPUR: Former minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Seri Mohd Effendi Norwawi, has been appointed executive chairman of Encorp Bhd effective yesterday.
The appointment marks his return to the Malaysian corporate scene since he left to concentrate on a political career.
In a statement, Encorp said Effendi’s experience in the corporate world included a stint as executive chairman of Sarawak Economic Development Corp, which he led for 15 years.
