IT WAS a night of glitz and glamour when 7atenine Restaurant & Supperclub hosted yet another incredible anniversary party.
The much-anticipated event called Xposé was also the perfect platform to launch the refreshed 7atenine.
“7atenine has always had a feisty personality and the refreshments just add that extra sizzle to the place. Many of our patrons now describe this place as a conservatory after we covered up the outlet.
“We may look like a conservatory but we are certainly far from the ho-hum image associated with that concept,” owner Michele Kwok said.
“Since the change, we are pleased to now serve lunch from Mondays to Fridays in cool comfort. For the calorie-conscious, we have a sushi, salad and soup bar with the option of adding on a main. Come evening, sevenspoons dining on the mezzanine indulges the palate with Japanese-influenced cosmopolitan cuisine. This space has been designed specially for those who enjoy a lingering meal,” she added.
The party started with the arrival of celebrities Ferhad, Xandria Ooi, Serena C, Jay Menon and Dennis Lau chauffeured to the outlet in five Buforis, led by a quartet of Easy Riders. Emcee Serena C pronounced the party open with the popping of a champagne bottle before leading a toast.
The more than 600 guests included the who’s who of the party scene, corporate movers and shakers, business partners and members of the media.
Champagne and canapés flowed freely as the chic crowd moved to nu and electro house music courtesy of for top notch deejays — Tunku Nadia, Chris Olivia, Acid and Milinka.
A play of laser lights provided the décor for the night and the champagne was dispensed using a rather innovative approach — by aerialists hanging upside down from the ceiling.
7atenine’s anniversary celebrations began a few weeks before, with a Man Auction where 11 men were auctioned off in aid of the Soroptimist International Club of Ampang. The ladies-only high-tea event raised RM70,000 for the cause.
