THE Selangor Sikh Union Club Aman has tied up with Zaidi Football Marketing to launch the Kelab Aman — Kiddo Kickers. The move will enable them to introduce a more systematic football development training to youths.

The football development programme, aimed at children aged between seven and 14, is a two-hour-and-15-minute training programme that will be held every Saturday afternoon.

It is open to children of members and non-members and has four age group categories — Under-8, Under-10, Under-12 and Under-14.

The programme is designed to educate young players on the basic techniques, allowing individuals to hone their skills and abilities.

On target: The training programme will be open to four age groups.

It combines a step-by-step programme and a one-to-one formula to a progressive route to build confidence and all-round athletic skills among youths.

Kelab Aman president Jasbeer Singh said the club had always placed emphasis on sports, and the Kiddo Kickers programme was one way of ensuring that youths were exposed to the right skills required for football by trained professionals at an early age.

“The club offers an ideal and accessible location for parents who want their children to get structured developmental football training exposure,” he said.

The tie-up was launched by Kuala Lumpur Football Association chairman Datuk Astaman Abdul Aziz and former national team defender Datuk Santokh Singh on Sept 24.

Good start: Malaysian football legend Datuk Santokh Singh kicking a ball during the launch.

Currently, there are 40 members in the Kiddo Kickers programme and the club is targeting about 100 members for the programme.

Participation fees include RM100 annual registration and equipment fee followed by a monthly fee of RM60 for 10 months for children of non-club members.

Club members’ children pay RM75 annual registration and equipment fee followed by a monthly fee of RM40 for 10 months.
