Cool goodies for runners

What say you on the issue below?

HEALTH supplement, rice crackers, paper handkerchiefs and wet tissues are among the goodies that await PJ Half Marathon participants.

Kalbe International is sponsoring RM5,000 worth of its new product, Woods’ Cool Shield, a supplement that helps to boost the immune system to prevent cold and flu.

Its brand manager Victor Tham said the lemon and lime flavoured single-serve supplement has triple action formula, which consist of echinacea, vitamin C and zinc.

“PJ Half Marathon promotes healthy living and this is in line with the concept of our product,” he said.

Aeon Co. (M) Bhd has pledged 40 cartons of Jusco Selection Rice Crackers and 20 cartons of Jusco Selection Hanky Pack worth RM5,000 in total.

The rice crackers can be enjoyed as light snacks before the run while the paper handkerchiefs will come in handy after the participants complete the run.

“The rice crackers are healthy Japanese snacks,” Aeon public relations and corporate branding manager Zakimarhaini Mohd Said said.

Meanwhile, Watsons contributed RM5,000 worth of its refreshing wet tissues.

Available in six scents — jasmine, green tea, rose, lavender, lemongrass and pomegranate, the wet tissues are alcohol-free.

“The packs are convenient, especially when travelling,” Watson’s Personal Care Stores Sdn Bhd marketing and development director Jessica Ng said.

PJ Half Marathon will be held on Oct 30. It is organised by The Star, Petaling Jaya City Council and Selangor Amateur Athletics Association in conjunction with The Star’s 40th anniversary and Petaling Jaya’s fifth City Day celebrations.

It is scheduled to begin at 6am at Petaling Jaya Stadium in Kelana Jaya.
