THE Cerebral Palsy (Spastic) Children’s Association of Penang is aiming to collect RM200,000 from an upcoming charity dinner to be held at the Moral Uplifting Society on Macalister Road, Penang, on Nov 25.

Centre treasurer Nutan Shah said proceeds from the charity dinner, scheduled to start at 7.30pm, would be used to help cover the centre’s monthly operational expenses, adding that it was dependent on public donations.

“Tables for 10 people are priced at RM1,000, RM3,000 and RM5,000 which are tax exempted.

“We are also calling for companies to place advertisements in the souvenir programme before Oct 31,” she told a press conference at the centre recently.

Nutan said eight vegetarian tables would be available on a first-come-first-served basis.

Donations can be made via cheque made payable to ‘The Spastic Charity Dinner 2011’ or direct transfer to the centre’s account (CIMB 07370002763-05-5).
