THE newly-revamped all-day café Fuzion, formerly known as Sun & Surf, at Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa ,is poised to become the latest destination for a fresh, unique dining experience.
Fuzion, recently opened after undergoing a major renovation, now has an ambience that resembles a resort restaurant, overlooking the Sunway Lagoon Surf Beach and located next to the hotel swimming pool.
Diners have a choice of Asian, Western, Middle Eastern and Japanese cuisines, as well as a barbecue station, cold appetisers and salads.
All the dishes are prepared fresh, and diners can move around choosing whatever dishes they like.
Fuzion head executive chef Raymond Tan, who has over 20 years of experience working in restaurants around the world, explained: “The restaurant is built under the concept that diners are free to move around and have fresh food with minimal waiting time.
“We wanted to keep the food fresh, simple and as authentic as possible. By having live action cooking stations, food is kept as fresh as possible and there is also a level of interaction between the chefs and diners that adds a personal touch.”
The Asian station serves Chinese dishes like lobster truffle dumpling and seafood noodles. These signature dishes are fast gaining popularity. Diners can also choose from a range of traditional Indian cuisine with a selection of vegetarian dishes.
A variety of dips, bread, rice dishes, curries and others take centrestage at the Middle Eastern end, where chefs skilfully slice grilled meats for tasty rolls and serve lamb shanks grilled to perfection.
The array of delicious entrees featuring kebab halla, chicken sharkassia and veal blanket add a spectrum of flavours to the Middle Eastern section.
The Japanese corner offers diners a selection of sushi and sashimi, with finely-rolled temaki prepared right before their eyes.
The health conscious will also be thrilled with the wide range of organic salads, made from vegetables sourced locally. All these are available at the cold appetisers and salads counter.
Fuzion’s al fresco dining area also boasts an extensive barbecue, active during lunch and dinner hours. Here, an expert team of chefs prepare and serve a variety of seafood such as crabs, prawns, fish and squid; succulent meats like beef, lamb, quail and chicken; as well as sausages, grilled corn and potato.
Those with a sweet tooth will be able to choose from a range of delights at the dessert spread, featuring a few choice morsels from around the world.
Choose from Egyptian bread pudding, Om Ali, Japanese mochi and western favourites like créme brulee, pannacotta and cheesecake, as well as fresh fruits and chocolate fondue for the truly indulgent.
