Old boys come together for alumni gathering

What say you on the issue below?

FOR the first time in Malaysia, more than 30 members of the Harvard Business School Alumni, came together in Kuala Lumpur for their reunion which only happens once in two years.

Some of the biggest names in the business world were hosted at various locations in Malaysia by Datuk Kuna Sittampalam.

These prominent figures from 12 countries were members of the 28th batch of the ‘Owner/President Management (OPM) Programme’ under the Harvard Business School.

“Previous such gatherings were held in India, Argentina, Turkey, Australia and the US. Malaysia hosts the 6th gathering and it is the first for the alumni members to be here,” said Kuna, also a Harvard Alumni and co-chairman of HSS Group of Companies and TiE Malaysia Chapter president.

To showcase that Malaysia is truly Asia, the guests were given a warm cultural treat upon their arrival at the chosen venue, Sutra Foundation, by world-renowned dancer — Ramli Ibrahim.

Later accompanied by his other Sutra dancers, Guna and January Low, they performed some of Sutra’s award-winning repertoires.

Guests were also treated to an art exhibition by Malaysian artists and a sumptuous feast.

The following day, all the guests met with former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammed over a private lunch.

The group were also taken for a tour of the city and Putrajaya.

And the next few days, various talks and meetings were included at Langkawi and at the Borneo Island.

After spending 10-days in Malaysia, this alumni will meet once again in Mexico in 2013.
