DURIAN and ice cream lovers are in for a treat come Ramadan. Tonka Bean Café at Impiana KLCC Hotel in Kuala Lumpur is serving the king of fruits as well as 18 flavours of Baskin Robbins ice cream as part of its dessert spread at its Ramadan buffet from Aug 1 to 29.
Other tempting delights to satiate the sweet tooth include kuih ketayap, dodol, wajik, onde onde and seri muka. For appetizers, enjoy delicacies such as rojak buah and kerabu, as well as salmon gravalax and oysters.
For mains, choose from dishes such as barbecue lamb, nasi briyani, chicken shawarma, bubur lambuk, ikan bakar with bumbu spice, chicken rice, yong tau fu, chicken fried rice with anchovies and chilli crab.
Diners will be entertained to soothing and calming tunes from Strings Connection, a five-piece band.
The Ramadan buffet dinner at Tonka Bean Café is priced at RM82++ per person from Aug 1 to Aug 7, following which the price goes up to RM92++ per person. Children aged six to 12 are charged half the price while those below six get to dine for free.
Diners can also enjoy free parking at the nearby Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
