Papa John’s, a diner well-known for tasty, oven-fresh pizzas, is introducing its new Moroccan-inspired ‘shish kebab’ pizza in conjunction with Ramadan.
With chicken kebab chunks (separately skewered and grilled on an open flame), a secret salsa sauce, fresh green peppers, crispy potato wedges and of course, mozzarella cheese, this pizza has a mysterious smoky flavour that's subtle yet strong.
Papa John’s signature garlic sauce is delightful when paired with the pizza crust, and the side of pepperonchinis provides a tangy, fiery kick to the taste buds.
The spicy chicken skewers, priced at RM9 per set, are grilled to perfection together with bite-sized pineapples, green and red peppers, creating fireworks of flavour.
With the aroma wafting through the air and adding to the warm feel of the diner, a glance into the display window sees men donned in white caps and aprons busy flattening dough and adding toppings – all in all a rather homey sight.
From now until the end of Ramadan, the Shish Kebab will be available a la carte at RM21.90 for a nine-inch pizza and RM29.90 for a 12-inch pizza, and Papa John’s is also offering Shish Kebab Specials – combo meals - for the whole family.
The Shish Kebab Special 1 (RM29.90) consists of one nine-inch Shish Kebab pizza, one set of spicy chicken skewers and two soft drinks, while the Shish Kebab Special 2 (49.90) offers one 12-inch Shish Kebab pizza, two sets of spicy chicken skewers and four soft drinks.
