Kota Permai Golf and Country Club recently organised a charity visit to Pusat Jagaan Anbesivam in conjunction with the Festival of Lights.
Employees from Gamuda Land sister clubs Botanic Resort Club and Jade Hills Resort Club joined hands with Kota Permai’s management, employees and committee members during the visit.
The team, led by Gamuda Land Club general manager Tang Meng Loon, handed over contributions in cash and kind based on the home’s wish list.
Here you go: Tang (right) and Yong (in red blouse) handing over the ang pow to the residents. The children were delighted with the Deepavali treat, as could be seen in their exuberance in savouring the occasion and the many stories they had to tell.
The multi-racial shelter home was established in 1995 in Klang and has 58 residents, including the disabled, orphans and single mothers.
The club’s chef prepared a special treat for the children for lunch. After the lunch, Tang and Botanic Resort Club club manager Sheren Yong presented ang pow and goodie bags to the children.
