GLENEAGLES Kuala Lumpur (GKL) and Hilton Kuala Lumpur are set to bring a glitzy, grand finale to the breast cancer awareness month with A Pink Jazz Affair.

This star-studded, charity dinner show will take place on Nov 20.

“Gleneagles has long been a supporter of breast cancer awareness.

“We understand the pertinence of the fact that one in 20 Malaysians can be affected by breast cancer in their lifetime.

“That is why we continually seek ways to create events and initiatives to support breast cancer awareness,” said regional chief executive officer of Gleneagles Hospitals and chief executive officer of Gleneagles Kuala Lumpur, Amir Firdaus Abdullah.

A Pink Jazz Affair is GKL’s first ever pink-themed dinner and was conceptualised to commemorate the celebration of health and life, in conjunction with the end of breast cancer awareness month.

It will showcase incandescent performances by Datuk Sheila Majid and Donne Ray Radford, renowned crooner from evergreen band, The Platters.

“I am thrilled to be part of A Pink Jazz Affair. Performing has always been my passion and to be involved with a good cause like breast cancer awareness, coming on board was an easy decision to make,” said Radford who had graced the stages of Las Vegas with The Platters.

Guests will also enjoy the thrill of a silent auction featuring exquisite pieces from Danish jeweller, Pandora and exclusive art pieces of highly respected Malaysian artist, Jake Goh.

Proceeds raised from this event will benefit the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA).

“Events like A Pink Jazz Affair help put a lighter note on the seriousness of breast cancer awareness.

“While the month of October may be internationally deemed as ‘breast cancer awareness month’, the awareness and education initiatives should continue all year long,” said BCWA Malaysia chief executive officer Ranjit Kaur.

A Pink Jazz Affair is made possible with the support of Hilton Kuala Lumpur, Pandora Jewellery, Datuk Sheila Majid, Donne Ray Radford and Jake Goh.

“We are grateful and excited that we have gotten the support from so many prominent names.

“We are really looking forward to a successful event where people can have an unforgettable night while serving a good cause,” said Amir.

Tickets for the dinner show are available at Gleneagles Kuala Lumpur. They are priced at RM280 (dinner and show) and RM450 (dinner and show with an exclusive meet-and-greet with Datuk Sheila Majid).
