HILTON Worldwide has announced the results of its “Sea MICE and A Million” meetings, incentives, conferences and events (MICE) campaign, launched in July.

Aimed at promoting the MICE offerings at 15 Hilton Worldwide hotels across South-East Asia to event planners, the campaign has successfully generated much interest and over 78 package bookings when it ended on Sept 30.

In addition to rewarding participating bookers with incentives such as free nights stay, complimentary upgrades and Hilton HHonours points, top bookers from each participating country are awarded 500,000 HHonours points each and the campaign’s top regional booker received an additional half a million HHonours points.

Happy winner: DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur general manager Ian Barrow presenting a mock cheque of 500,000 Hhonours points to Tan.

Snowie Tan from Ecopia Sdn Bhd not only found her ideal MICE package with DoubleTree by Hilton, Kuala Lumpur, she emerged as the Malaysia country winner earning her 500,000 HHonours points.

“I am honoured to have won the MICE & A Million Hilton Hhonours Booking Challenge. It was indeed a pleasant surprise.

“The Hilton Worldwide group has beautiful properties that we continuously recommend to our clients as ideal MICE venues.

“As an event organiser, we always aim to deliver to our clients an impeccable experience every time. This is achievable with the hotel’s strong banquet team.

“In particular at DoubleTree by Hilton, Kuala Lumpur, the team has made our working experience with them a seamless one with their ‘always say yes’ attitude,” Tan said.

“I’m happy to see our customers showing once again that businesses benefit from face-to-face meetings. Feedback from our bookers on this campaign has been overwhelmingly positive, with many finding the enhanced service offerings and value-add incentives irresistible.

“We are pleased to have achieved a good mix of bookings from properties across our different brands in South-East Asia, successfully raising the awareness of our diverse regional portfolio,” said Asia-Pacific Hilton Worldwide sales and marketing vice-president Philippe Garnier.

All packages booked during the campaign period will include perks such as complimentary welcome cocktails for all delegates, free room nights for planners who book a minimum of 40 nights or more, upgrades to the executive floor and complimentary Internet throughout the stay.
