JENVINE Ong believes in the power of the mind.
For the moment, the model is channelling all her energy into attracting wealth.
“A person must think wealth at all times, to attract more cash. I made a conscious decision to generate an income at age 17. And this is why I ventured into modelling,” said the 170cm-tall lass from Batu Belah in Klang.
Ong, 21, and the second child of four siblings, said her modelling and acting jobs enabled her to purchase a RM50,000 car while she was still a student.
“Having cash in hand makes me feel like a queen. I am aggressively going into modelling, doing commercials and being part of a band because I want to make money. With the financial resources, I can do what I want, whenever I want, wherever I want, for as long as I want,” said Ong, whose father is a businessman.
She said that if a person wanted wealth, he must decide from the deepest place in his heart to have wealth in his life, and visualise himself achieving his goal.
“Now, I am thinking of getting a Volkswagen Beetle with full specifications that will cost RM200,000.
“I know in my heart it is attainable, so I am visualising the financial goals daily.
“I love the finer things in life like enjoying a cup of coffee in a nice boutique hotel.
“Yes, I admit I have expensive taste but I am willing to work hard so that I get to enjoy the nice things. No compromise,” she said.
Ong balances her interest in money with an interest in meditation and is a vegan.
She also has plans to visit Tibet and travel the mountainous region to teach young children how to read and write.
She hopes to do that in three to five years as she wants to learn about the lives of people in foreign lands.
“While I think about plans, I will continue to sing at weddings, play the piano and just have fun,” she said.
Ong imparted a financial tip: put aside at least 10% of your earnings and make that cash inaccessible and let this amount grow over time.
