MALACCA: Two hundred Facebook fans and Twitter followers of Magnum 4D were recently treated to a movie screening of Real Steel at a cinema complex in the city.
Malacca’s Magnum 4D branch manager Goh Sin Giin said this was the first time the branch treated their loyal online friends for a movie outing, emulating similar events held by Magnum 4D branches in the Klang Valley, Penang and Kuching.
“We were pleased with the turn-out as all our invitees turned up for the movie screening,” he said.
Real Steel is a 2011 American science fiction action film starring Hugh Jackman and directed by Shawn Levy.
The film is based on the 1956 short story “Steel” by Richard Matheson.
Animatronic robots were built for the film, and motion capture technology was used to depict the brawling of computer-generated robots and animatronics.
Magnum branch operations head Datuk Chan Chee Fai was also at the cinema with the movie-goers.
He said Magnum 4D has been conducting many e-marketing activities including having Facebook and Twitter pages for fans.
“Facebook is our major e-marketing platform for our customers to learn more of our products as well as to stay informed on all our activities,” he added.
