Sweet taste of luxury

What say you on the issue below?

MAGNUM ice cream, known around the world as the ice cream synonymous with indulgent pleasure, is set to arouse the palates of Malaysians with the introduction of its new Belgian chocolate variant.

The new Belgian chocolate-coated ice cream flavours of Magnum Classic, Magnum Almond and Magnum Chocolate Truffle were launched recently at the Ritz Carlton Kuala Lumpur in an evening filled with glitz and glamour.

Guests were treated to a fashion show, featuring models dressed in creations by local designer Zang Toi, adorned with jewels from Habib Jewels and holding the Magnum ice creams made with Belgian chocolate.

The literal crowning moment of the evening came when top model Tengku Azura sashayed out in a chocolate-coloured Zang Toi Magnum Masterpiece gown.

Hugo Verkuil, marketing director of Unilever (Malaysia) Holdings Sdn Bhd, said: “Our new range of Magnum ice cream which is now covered in thick ‘cracking’ Belgian chocolate is truly a regal decadence and we believe its exceptional taste and fine quality will deliver the ultimate level of luxury and pleasure that will make you feel royal.”

Adding to the luxurious feel of the night, Verkuil and Habib Jewels managing director Datuk Meer Habib unveiled the exclusive Magnum Tiara, a sparkling headpiece specially designed for the event.

The RM200,000 Magnum Tiara will also be the main prize in Magnum’s Enjoy the Royal Treatment Contest, where consumers will have to take a photo of themselves enjoying the new Magnum ice cream made with Belgian chocolate in a royal pose.

They will then have to post the photo on Facebook and ask their friends to vote for them.

There are two preliminary rounds with submission of photos for the first round ending on Oct 6, and the second round on Nov 6.
The top five photos from each round will go into the final round of voting from Nov 22 to 28.

The photo with the most number of votes will be declared the winner.

Aside from the grand prize winner, nine other consolation prize winners will get RM500 cash each.

For more on the contest, visit Magnum’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/Magnum.

Magnum is available at all leading supermarkets and convenience stores.

These premium on-the-go delights, wrapped in the brand’s signature foil packaging, are priced at the suggested retail price of RM3.90 each.

A box of three is priced at RM11.70.
