TIGER Beer is set to throw a spectacular year-end celebration.
Its Living it Up party, which will be put together by a group of local celebrities consisting of Namewee, Douglas Lim, Vanessa Chong, Pamela Chong and ManHanD, is going to be a phenomenal year-end party happening this Dec 16.
The party will mark the introduction of Tiger Beer’s all-new “Here’s to Tiger Time” campaign, which aims to celebrate the value of ingenuity and the “Open to Winning” mindset.
Tiger’s ‘Living It Up’ party will be a collaborative effort by the chosen celebrities facilitated by Tiger, with each celebrity representing an open to winning mind-set from their own distinctive backgrounds. The Living it Up Party aims to salute Malaysian consumers who identify with this proposition, the communal characters who strive to create win-win situations for everyone around them.
Celebrating winners: The celebrities who will be putting together the party. “Tiger is an award-winning beer that is enjoyed by people who see opportunities all around them and lead a life that is filled with winning moments.
“We are bringing the ultimate ‘Tiger Time’ in the form of the Living it Up Party, and we have chosen these local celebrities to take the lead in throwing this bash because we want it to be a party by winners, for winners,” said Tiger marketing manager Sean Koh.
Planning of the ‘Living it Up’ party by the group of local personalities will be documented and posted up on Tiger Beer’s Facebook page, giving consumers a chance to witness the planning process of the party. Consumers will only have to share their favourite videos on Facebook to be in the running to win exclusive invites to the party.
“This party celebrates the great values of winning and ingenuity, encouraging everyone to embrace a winning mind-set. What I love about Tiger is that it is celebrating winners who take chances in life. Therefore, we will work towards bringing a fantastic year-end party for Malaysians to truly enjoy,” said Wee Meng Chee, more commonly known as Namewee.
The Chong sisters Pamela and Vanessa said, “We think it is going to be really fun putting this party together for all like-minded Tiger fans out there. It is going to be really exciting.”
Stand-up comedian Douglas Lim shares the excitement for this party, “I like the whole idea of winning, because as a stand-up comedian, my work is all about striving to create winning moments. My audience is happy when I crack a good joke, and I am happy when my audience is happy, and to me, that is winning. The Living it Up party is going to be an amazing year-end event.”
Bringing along the element of Chinese hip-hop to the ‘Living it Up’ table is none other than ManHanD, Malaysia’s up-and-coming Chinese rap group.
“To us, ‘Living it Up’ means stepping up to live life to the max, regardless of what life throws at us. As a local recording artiste, we always hit highs and lows, and at times, the lows come a lot more frequently than the highs.
“What’s important is that we know how to steady our pace before wanting to go too fast, and I think being ‘steady’ is synonymous with being open to winning. Cheers to Tiger for celebrating that,” said MC Beeman, frontman of ManHanD, which is Cantonese for “walking slowly”.
As planning kicks off this week, the local celebrities will be getting together on a weekly basis to brainstorm on ideas for the key elements of the party, which include the venue, food and beverages, as well as entertainment.
