Outgoing traffic chief hands over duties

What say you on the issue below?

IPOH has been a very challenging district to oversee but it was nevertheless a fun place to be in, outgoing district traffic police chief Deputy Supt Mohd Rodzi Rajab said.

Mohd Rodzi had faced all sorts of “action” while assigned to the district, coordinating operations to curb illegal racing, Mat Rempits and gang fights.

“I am thankful that everyone here in the police force has been very cooperative, making my work and life easier.

“I have also made some new acquaintances among the locals, especially the media fraternity during my four-year tenure here,” he said when handing over his duties to his counterpart from Ampang Jaya, DSP Supt Wan Sharuddin Wan Omar.

Mohd Rodzi will take over Wan Sharuddin’s place in Ampang Jaya.

In his speech, Wan Sharuddin advised his new team to always be on their toes and be vigilant about activities in the district.

Acting Ipoh OCPD Supt Ahmad Termizi Abdul Haq expressed hope that the same cooperation would be offered to Wan Sharuddin.

“Cooperation is of utmost importance. Let us continue to work together as a team to combat crime and preserve peace,” he said.
