What say you on the issue below?

THE third instalment of Markets@Jaya One recently saw shoppers gathering at Jaya One in Petaling Jaya as early as 10am looking for exciting deals, cool stuff and fun activities.

Just like the previous two editions, the event drew a large group of shoppers of all ages, united in their love of outdoor bazaar shopping and unique goods.

Markets@Jaya One is fast making a name as a shopping destination for discerning consumers who go for goods with a difference.

One of the interesting activities that was organised was the “Swap Meet”.

Bargain hunting: Fashionable clothing and accessories at Markets@Jaya One.

Like a barter system, guests were encouraged to bring in unwanted items that were still in good condition prior to the event.

Upon arrival, organisers would determine the “swap-able” items brought in and tokens would be issued for each item. For example, three tokens would entitle guests to pick any three items from the swap pile.

Markets@Jaya One, consisting of the Chic Pop Street Market, Crafty Art Market and Bettr Weekends, offers visitors a variety of goodies from fashionable clothing and accessories, artwork and handicrafts to health products.

The Chic Pop Street Market was perfect for visitors with a yen for fashion. The market organisers often run style, shopping and early bird contests with exciting fashion and beauty-related giveaways.

The Crafty Art Market, a favourite among visitors, features unique and interesting handcrafted items by members of Etsy Malaysia — the Malaysian chapter of Etsy, an international online marketplace for all things handmade, vintage and arty.

Bettr Weekends was an organic market that focused on living life better. The third instalment also saw an expansion among food vendors. The additional food vendors were That Last Slice, Taste of Heaven and Chef Tony’s Gourmet Popcorn.
