FOCUS Point Vision Care Group recently organised an exclusive presentation and preview of renowned jewellery brand, Swarovski’s 2012 Sunglasses Collection for select guests at Modesto’s, The Curve in Petaling Jaya.

The event which saw the preview of the full range of eyewear, touted to be the next must-haves in fashion accessories, came ahead of even Swarovski’s official launch of the collection in Europe.

The private viewing was attended by over 150 guests who included members of the Malaysian Retailer Chains Association (MRCA), celebrity violinist Dennis Lau, Miss Malaysia Universe 2008 Levy Li, model and host Tiffany Leong, Miss Malaysia Asia Pacific 2005 Aenie Wong, Miss Malaysia Global Queen International 2007 Yan Yee and actress Chris Tong.

Guests nibbled on a variety of delectable canapés and sipped whisky and wine whilst admiring the showcase of exquisitely crafted Swarovski eyewear donned by models in fashionable eveningwear.

New wear: A fashion statement in their own right.

Emcee Elaine Daly facilitated the preview and locked in pre-orders for the exclusive range after the fashion show.

Focus Point Vision Care Group chief executive officer Kim Ng said, “We are pleased to be the first optical retail chain to introduce the sunglasses collection before the worldwide launch.

“To be presenting this latest collection ahead of other countries is an achievement and testimony to our company’s commitment in bringing the best and latest in fashionable, quality eyewear to consumers,” she said.

Swarovski’s debut Spring / Summer collection was successfully launched by the optical retailer earlier this year.

The sunglasses collection is expected to appeal to women looking to make a statement with elegance and subtle distinction.

“We are happy to be working with Focus Point again following our successful debut in May. This time around we are more excited, as sharing a drive for design and perfection, Swarovski and Marcolin have created forms that are both fashionable and timeless,” said Marcolin Group regional manager (Asia) Christina Sheng.

The Swarovski 2012 sunglasses collection is available in 10 different styles in multiple shades and hues. The collection is crafted based on three key design elements — the ‘Architecture of Crystal’, the ‘Swan logo’ and the iconic ‘Swanflower motif’, which is the image of four swans merging to create a shape similar to a rare Australian orchid.

The 2012 sunglasses collection is currently available for pre-ordering at all Focus Point outlets; stocks will hit shelves worldwide this month.
