Hospital group’s new HQ

What say you on the issue below?

KPJ Healthcare Bhd, with 21 private hospitals in Malaysia and two in Indonesia, is in the process of expanding its networks of private hospitals locally and across Asia. As such, the company is building a corporate headquarters.

The six-storey corporate office will be located at Lot 21 and 22, Section 86A, Persiaran Titiwangsa 3, Kuala Lumpur.

It will be a dedicated office purely as the headquarters for the company and can house about 50 executives.

Under the Kuala Lumpur Development Control Plan 2008, the premises was gazetted as a commercial zone with a plot ratio of two.

The corporate office will solely be used by KPJ and not for leasing to public.

To-date, the application has fully complied with DBKL’s planning standards and technical requirements, with all processing fees and development charges paid.

The corporate office will have a 24-hour security surveillance both during and after construction stages. This security service will enhance the quality of security in the vicinity of Titiwangsa.

In order to minimise disruption for the surrounding residents, various measures will be taken during the construction period.

“Industrialised Building System” (IBS) will be used to accelerate the construction scheduled to be completed within a year.

During the construction process, injection piling will be used to avoid noise and vibration.

Construction activities will be done during office hours with Sundays and public holidays as off days.

In planning and design, the architect is sensitive enough to recognise Titiwangsa as the green lung of the city, thus they are dedicating the entire ground floor as a garden setting car-park to ensure the building will be harmoniously integrated into the community as a friendly new member.

The completion of this KPJ corporate office will re-vigourise and enhance the value of the surrounding properties.

It is set to become a landmark and install a fresh-look for the Titiwangsa community.
