CLOSE to 50 children from Hijauan Kiara were clad in “ghoulish” costumes for a Halloween party hosted by Bukit Kiara Properties (BKP) recently in Mont Kiara.

It was a night of laughter as the party was filled with loads of excitement and fun activities. Children dressed as witches, vampires, ghouls and even cute pumpkins were vying for the Halloween Best Dressed Award.

“Halloween is a popular festival celebrated by both our expatriate and local residents staying in Hijauan Kiara. Thus, it is always in our mind to organise Halloween party on a yearly basis.

“We hope through these events, the residents will get to know their neighbours better and foster stronger community ties,” said BKP group managing director NK Tong.

The Halloween party started with a “Balloon Face Drawing Contest”, where the children were divided into groups to draw ghoulish faces on the balloons.

After the warm-up session, the children were accompanied by adults to go from house to house for trick-or-treat to collect candies and chocolates.

“I am here for all the candies! I love Halloween parties and I will have lots of fun tonight,” said seven-year old boy Kyan, from Australia.

The party continued with “Mummy Wrapping Contest” where participants were given toilet rolls to wrap one of their team members.

The fastest group to finish was announced the winner.

The neighbourhood was filled with laughter as children walked away with plenty of candies and gifts after the party.

“I hope the residents, both adults and children had a lot of fun tonight. It is really exciting to see the kids being so involved when they dressed up themselves tonight.

“They have wowed their neighbours and given them a pleasant surprise when the latter opened their doors to receive the fun and energetic children,” said BKP property services manager Tiffany Lo.
