BINA Warehouse Sdn Bhd, an established bathroom fixtures and kitchen distributor, launched The Starck by Warendorf — the Warendorf Kitchen Range at its showroom in Jalan Kampung Attap recently.
Bina Warehouse is expanding its product offerings to include top-of-the-line kitchen brand, Warendorf, featuring the first complete set of Warendorf Kitchen Range designed by renowned French designer, Philippe Starck, outside Europe.
The Starck by Warendorf complete kitchen range, which consists of four different kitchen concepts — Library, Primary, Duality and Tower — is presented at a total showroom floor area of 2,600sq ft.
One of Malaysia’s reputable luxury kitchen and bathroom retailers, Bina Warehouse has been around for 39 years and mostly distributes products from Europe. With a long history of distributing quality bathroom and kitchen products, the company has carried brands like Hansgrohe, Duravit, Kohler and Jacuzzi for over 10 years with the exception of Alno Kitchens for more than 20 years. Their projects include One Menerung Bangsar, Clearwater Residences, The Troika, Binjai Residency, Ampersand, Iringan Hijau, Sunway Palazzio, Menara Goldhill and many more.
“Bina Warehouse is confident and excited to provide for the growing demand for luxurious kitchens in residential developments and the company is proud to announce its new venture into the luxury kitchen supply with the openings of its exclusive Philippe Starck by Warendorf Kitchen.
“We are delighted to be the first show gallery to showcase designs by Philippe Starck,” said Bina Warehouse executive director Henry Kok in his speech at the launching of the showroom at 22 Jalan Kampong Attap, Kuala Lumpur. Also present were German Ambassador to Malaysia Dr Guenter Gruber and Warendorf chief executive officer Thorsten Prée.
Warendorf is the provider of kitchens for personalities.
“Every kitchen bears the personal profile of its owner. This new positioning clearly stands out from the competition, takes a clear outlook and gives us noticeable market position,” said Kok.
At the launch, they also unveiled the Library — which got its name and design from the shelves above the kitchen units. Whether classically stocked with cooking utensils or with books, they create a fluid transition between cooking and living. The bookshelf is enhanced by two trumpet tables, which got their name from their characteristic trumpet-shaped feet.
The first of these — the kitchen island — integrates everything needed to prepare, cook and store food. Contour panels and marble worktops give the kitchen its individual character. This is further enhanced by the embossed contours on the front panels and the surrounding chrome frame.
The origins of the Warendorf can be found in the town by the same name in North-Rhine Westphalia in Germany. This is where Warendorf has been producing kitchens since 1973. Warendorf was formerly known in the market as “Miele Kuchen”.
“We are the pioneers for the trend of putting kitchens as a centre of home life. The new designs are a result of joining forces with Philippe Starck to produce combined elements of classical designs to accommodate various sized homes. We will continue to be innovative and become more aggressive in the market,” said Prée.
