Architect on cloud nine

What say you on the issue below?

A 32-YEAR-old architect walked away with a Proton Persona after he was picked as the grand prize winner of a lucky draw organised by the Selangor Economic Development Corporation (PKNS).

Winner Saiful Mohd Husain was among a total of 736 buyers who bought domestic and commercial premises from PKNS between July and December 2010 eligible to participate in the lucky draw.

Saiful said he realised that his chances were getting higher after four others picked earlier had not shown up.

He said he was delighted when he heard his name being announced on the fifth count.

Overjoyed: Saiful posing with his new car.

“I was looking forward to winning the grand prize and the car as I was already planning to change my car before my wedding next year.

“It was an exciting draw and I am really fortunate to walk away with the car because four other people missed their opportunity to win it before me,’’ said Saiful who purchased an apartment at the Banjaria Court in Gombak for RM237,000.

Saiful received a mock key to the car from PKNS deputy general manager (corporate communications) Datin Paduka Norazlina Zakaria in a grand event held at the SACC Convention Centre in Shah Alam.

Two other main prize winners walked away with RM5,000 each while five iPads were also given away together with 15 consolation prizes.

Meanwhile, PKNS is currently offering a rebate of RM10,000 as part of its year end promotion on sales of its properties.

It is also due to launch the Kristal View condominium project at Section 7 in Shah Alam on Nov 19.

The project offers two types of accommodation ranging from 1,100 and 1,200sq ft from RM330,000 (after 7% discount for Bumiputra) onward.

Civil servants are entitled for an additional 5% discount.
