This project is being organised by the Malaysia Bumiputra Women Entreperenurs (Usahanita).

The five-day package tour, excluding air tickets, is only tagged at RM199.

Dr Sheikh Muszaphar said this first-of-its-kind expedition to China is not aimed at making money but to give the people a chance to know the people and different culture in China.

"We want the people to tour China and explore the ample business opportunities there too. Our idea to have this expedition is also to give the lower and middle income groups an opportunity to improve their livelihood by venturing into business.

"China has a Muslim population of 40 million. We have many halal products which have the potential to enter the Chinese market. For businessmen, seize the holidays to tap into the possible business potentials.

"The project will also help Bumiputera women entrepreneurs to expand their markets overseas," he said after launching the National Astronaut Expedition project to China in Johor Baru recently.

The project was launched at The Zon Regency and Plaza Angsana the same day.

Present was Usahanita Johor founder, Datuk Rokiah Omar.

The project, which started on Nov 10, will last until end of 2013.

The validity of the package is 18 months from the date of purchase. The price includes four nights of accomodation and free tours, including to Yuan Rong Times Square, LED Sky Screen, Suzhou Bird Nest, Haining Yanguan Town, Haining International Leather City and silk factory.

Meanwhile, Rokiah said the idea behind the tour package is to make holidaying affordable to all.

She said the tour package could be bought at Lace Motor at Jalan Susur, Pasir Gudang Highway

"The package is very affordable, as the original price is nearly RM2,000. The project is good for both countries as it helps to promote bilateral trading activities," she said.
