What say you on the issue below?

THE Vienna Boys’ Choir is here and they are ready to take centre stage with their melodious voices.

Before their shows set for tomorrow and Friday, the boys met up with the sponsors of the event at Renaissance Hotel.

They met with Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre general manager Datuk Peter Brokenshire, Austrian ambassador Andrea Wicke, BMW Group Malaysia head of marketing Raymond Tan, Renaissance Hotel Kuala Lumpur general manager Robert Frager, and Renaissance director of sales and marketing Ivy Ng.

During the meet, their conductor Kerem Sezen talked about the boys’ performance here.

Sing your hearts out: Frager (fourth from left) speaking to the boys. Looking on are Tan(second from right) and Ng.

He said there would be acapella numbers with piano, small ensemble, solo, difference repertoire as well as classical.

“This will be my second time that the boys are performing here and we will be performing with the Permata Seni Choir group.

“The boys are excited but perhaps a little tired as they are doing 80 concerts. They also did 23 concerts in 27 days in Germany. What people can expect is something different because although they may be used to choirs, we bring them the classics,” he said, adding that audience could expect to be entertained and moved by the music.

During their stay in Kuala Lumpur, the boys will be visiting Petrosains, Petronas Twin Tower Sky Bridge, Central Market and Sunway Lagoon.

The event will be staged at the Plenary Hall in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

The Vienna Boys’ Choir is presented by BMW Malaysia and endorsed by the Austrian Embassy. The Star is the event’s official media partner while Renaissance Hotel Kuala Lumpur plays host to the boys.
