ASTRO brought to life a “Hollywood and Celebrities” themed blogger party recently at the Astro B.yond IPTV Concept Store in Solaris Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur.
The blogger party, which was held in conjunction with the launch of Astro’s “Pass the Popcorn” campaign recently, gave bloggers a night to personify their favourite Hollywood celebrity and stand a chance to win prizes for dressing up.
Two lucky bloggers, Avelynn who arrived dressed as Penny Carter from the recent hit Captain America: The First Avenger, and Haiqal who came as Lady Gaga, won the award of Best Dressed Female and Best Dressed Male respectively. They each walked away with a 32-inch LCD TV.
Spot on: Blogger Avelynn (left) won the Best Dressed Female award for the night. Bloggers were invited to challenge their creativity at word-play by completing the slogan “B.yond IPTV is the One and Only Line I’ll Ever Need because…” with the most unique statement possible.
Samuel Chew Jian Jian was the champion as he was named the winner and won an iPad 2.
Twitter enthusiasts also stood a chance to be part of the fun by participating in a contest organised by Churp Churp to win premium giveaways.
Ready to roll: Ladies all dolled up for a night of fun. In addition to the giveaways at the party, Astro is offering bloggers the opportunity to win two home theatre systems inclusive of a Blu-Ray player, for coming up with the most creative online posts, regarding the event.
Astro’s “Pass the Popcorn” campaign features the best of Hollywood including animated favourites such as Despicable Me, How to Train Your Dragon and Shrek Forever After; Hollywood hits like Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, Takers, and RED, as well as top series such as True Blood: Season 4 and Game of Thrones: Season 1.
A nationwide roadshow will be running throughout November and December, where visitors will receive giveaways and a chance to participate in an on-site competition to win a trip to Singapore, Hong Kong, or Gold Coast for a family of four.
