What say you on the issue below?

MALAYSIAN James Quah was one of the two grand prize winners in the “Dance with us: Motion Across Cultures” photo contest sponsored by Exchanges Connect.

ExchangesConnect (http://connect.state.gov) is an international online community managed by the US State Deparment’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs that connects potential, current, and former exchange programme participants so that they can discuss application processes, programmes and living abroad.

Well taken: This photo of a group of traditional dancers from Dagestan performing in the West Bank city of Bethlehem was added by Mussa Qawasma in the contest.

The photo contest, “Dance with us: Motion Across Cultures” required photographs that represented dance in their community or culture.

The contest was held from Sept 13 to Oct 25, 2011.

Grand prize winner Quah has participated in different styles of dance since he was 20.

He continues to be involved in performance arts as a photographer and enjoys the challenge of photographing dancers executing seemingly effortless acts of gracefulness and weightlessness.

Winning shot: Malaysian James Quah was one of the two grand prize winners in the contest sponsored by Exchanges Connect.

His photo, entitled “Pasut” will be displayed at the US Department of State in Washington, D.C., and on the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs websites.

Quah will also receive an iPad2 tablet computer for his efforts.
