“Shopping is one of the favourite activities among locals and tourists and I believe with the opening of JPO, Johor will be dubbed a shopping destination for both domestic and foreign tourists,” he said in his speech during the launch of the Johor-level 1MYES.

The upscale outlet in Kulaijaya will feature more than 80 designer and branded stores offering factory prices with daily discounts of between 25% and 65%.

Among the designer brands that have confirmed their presence at JPO are Adidas, Armani, Brooks Brothers, Burberry, Canali, Coach, Esprit, Ermenegildo Zegna, Gap, Guess, Michael Kors and Nike.

“I believe the seven-week sale period would hugely benefit both shoppers and businesses in the state as well as holiday makers,” he said.

ourism Malaysia also launched its shopping marathon competition with Tesco supermarket in conjunction with the sale.

“I think that shopping malls in Johor Baru should take part in the 1MYES to attract more customers,” he said.
