Domino's pizzas get meatier

IF YOU want more bite out of your pizza, try gratifying your appetite with two of Domino’s Pizza’s new premium flavours – Meatasaurus and Ultimate Hawaiian.

Meatasaurus, dubbed Domino’s Pizza’s meatiest pizza, boasts 50% more beef pepperoni, double portions of tasty ground beef and triple portions of fresh garden mushrooms on a new smoky barbecue sauce that has been blended with a tomato twist.

Ultimate Hawaiian, meanwhile, ­indulges your taste buds with triple the amount of roasted chicken breast, shredded chicken, juicy pineapples and fresh mushrooms – all combined with a generous spread of tomato-based sauce and sprinkled with Italian herbs.

The Meatasaurus and Ultimate Hawaiian are new additions to ­Domino’s Pizza’s First Class pizza range that was launched five months ago in conjunction with the latest X-men: First Class movie.

The original range of First Class pizzas consists of Tuna Extreme, Chicken Perfection and Prawn ­Passion. Meatasaurus and Ultimate ­Hawaiian are inspired by the all-time favourite Domino’s Pizza’s Beef Pepperoni and Aloha Chicken.

“We started creating pizzas that used different types of toppings about a year ago and we noticed how ­Malaysians were looking for varieties when it came to their pizza,” said Ba U Shan-Ting, chief operating officer of Domino’s Pizza Malaysia and ­Singapore.

He said there was positive response from the public when Domino’s first introduced its First Class pizza range.

He added that it was the public’s passion for pizza that spurred Domino’s to give its best-selling flavours a ‘first class’ touch, lavishing the palate with an abundance of popular toppings.

“The surcharge [for the First Class range] is quite minimal. It would cost a bomb if you were to add toppings on your own,” said Ba, pointing at the copious amount of toppings on the Meatasaurus and Ultimate Hawaiian, both fresh from the oven and bubbling from all the melting cheese.

All First Class pizzas are available a la carte with a surcharge of RM3.50 for regular pizzas, RM5 for large pizzas and RM7 for ‘X-tra’ large pizzas.

Diners can also choose to order the First Class Passion Meal consisting of one regular First Class pizza, one regular Specialty pizza of their choice, one crazy chicken crunchies original or tomyam flavour, one garlic twisty bread and garlic cheese onion rings at only RM55, saving up to RM20.50.
