Display of home decor

THE Perak Home Exposition is back for another year. Organising chairman Woong Sun Ming said the second instalment of the massive furnishing event, which attracted about 50,000 people last year, would be held at the Stadium Indera Mulia in Ipoh from Nov 17 to 20.

“Due to the overwhelming response from the public last year, we are encouraged to hold the event for a second time.

“It is also because of this that the Ipoh City Council has agreed to collaborate with the Perak Furniture Makers and Dealer’s Association to jointly organise this year’s event,” he told reporters.

All planned out: Woong showing the floor plan for the expo.

Perak Homex ‘11, said Woong, provided a one-stop sales platform for local furniture and furnishing makers and dealers as well as consumers.

”Over 80 brands of furniture, furnishing and appliances will be showcased at the event by about 180 exhibitors from all over Penang, Kuala Lumpur and Johor.

There will also be fun-filled activities for children, cooking demonstrations, and talks on feng shui and interior designing,” he said, adding that Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir had been invited to open the event.

Perak Homex ‘11 will be held from 10am to 10pm daily.
